Selvaravi Kulendran

Background and Experience at AIMS

Before enrolling at AIMS Education, Selvaravi was working in the healthcare field as a medical billing clerk. While he enjoyed his work, the role sparked a deeper curiosity about healthcare and gave him a greater appreciation for the essential contributions of doctors, nurses, and technicians. He realized that he wanted to transition into a career where he could work more closely with patients and play an active role in their care.

By enrolling in the Cardiac Monitor Technician program at AIMS, Selvaravi found exactly the opportunity he was looking for. The courses were comprehensive and designed to build both technical knowledge and practical skills. He credits his professors for providing outstanding guidance and ensuring that students were prepared to succeed. The lab sessions, in particular, stood out as an engaging and valuable part of the program, giving him the chance to practice hands-on skills that would later prove essential in his career. In addition, his internship at Saint Peter’s University Hospital was a pivotal experience, allowing him to apply what he learned in the classroom to real-world patient care.

Success after Graduation

After completing his program at AIMS, Selvaravi successfully transitioned into his new career path. In May 2025, he began working as a Cardiac Monitor Technician at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. This role has allowed him to achieve his long-time goal of working directly with patients while contributing to their care and well-being.

Reflecting on his journey, Selvaravi shares that his experience at AIMS was instrumental in helping him reach this point. The structured program, hands-on training, and professional support all guided him toward the right path in healthcare. He is grateful for the preparation he received and proud to now be working in a field where he can make a meaningful impact every day.
