Nina Reali

Background and Experience at AIMS

Inspired by the loss of her father to heart disease, Nina chose to pursue a career in healthcare with the goal of contributing to the early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions. This deeply personal experience motivated her to enter a field where she could play a role in helping patients receive timely and accurate cardiac evaluations. She was drawn to cardiac sonography because it combines advanced imaging technology with direct patient care, allowing her to support both patients and physicians throughout the diagnostic process.

During her time in the Cardiovascular Technology program at AIMS Education, Nina developed a strong academic and clinical foundation in cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and echocardiographic imaging. The program provided a balance of classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory training, and clinical rotations, which helped her build confidence and practical experience in performing echocardiographic studies.

Working alongside experienced healthcare professionals during her clinical training allowed her to refine her scanning techniques, improve patient communication skills, and understand the importance of accuracy and compassion in cardiovascular care. In addition to the technical knowledge she gained, Nina values the supportive learning environment at AIMS, where she built meaningful relationships with classmates and faculty members who encouraged her throughout her educational journey. These experiences not only prepared her for a career in cardiac sonography but also helped shape her professional and personal growth.

Success After Graduation

After graduating from the CVT program, Nina was especially grateful for the program’s accreditation, which allowed her the opportunity to sit for the registry exam while continuing her education in the classroom. Having this opportunity gave her an important head start in her professional development and helped her transition more smoothly into the workforce. Nina proudly passed the CCI exam on her first attempt and earned the Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential, a significant accomplishment that reflects both her dedication and the strong preparation she received during her training.

Following this achievement, Nina secured her first professional position at a cardiac and vein center, where she now works as part of a healthcare team performing diagnostic cardiovascular imaging and supporting patient care. In her role, she continues to expand her clinical experience, working with patients and physicians to help detect and monitor cardiovascular conditions. She remains committed to continuously improving her skills and staying current with advancements in cardiovascular imaging. Looking ahead, Nina plans to further advance her career by pursuing her Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification, which will allow her to broaden her expertise and provide even more comprehensive diagnostic care to patients.
