Graduate Spotlight

Nelson Moreno

Background and Experience at AIMS

Nelson's journey into healthcare began with a strong interest in pharmacy and neurology, which grew even deeper after his daughter was diagnosed with a rare brain condition. That personal experience became his motivation to pursue the MRI Technologist program at AIMS Education, where he could combine his fascination with the brain and nervous system with a hands-on role that directly impacts patient care.

Through engaging lectures and his clinical internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Nelson gained confidence in both the theory and practical application of MRI, discovering how rewarding it is to work closely with patients while mastering complex imaging technology.

Success After Graduation

After earning his MRI certification from ARMRIT, Nelson accepted a full-time position as an MRI Technologist at University Radiology. He thrives in the fast-paced environment of diagnostic imaging, constantly learning new protocols and technologies. His goal is to master every MRI machine and eventually become a lead technologist, with the long-term vision of opening his own outpatient imaging center to provide the best possible care to patients. “Every day brings a new opportunity to learn and help someone,” he says, “and that’s what keeps me motivated.”
