Background and Experience at AIMS

With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, Michael Tudor's journey began at JFK University Medical Center, where he worked as a patient transporter before transitioning to the MRI department as a technical aide. These early experiences provided valuable insight into patient care and the important role MRI technologists play in supporting accurate diagnoses and treatment. His greatest inspiration was his mother, an ICU nurse whose dedication and compassion for patients motivated him to pursue a career in healthcare and make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Driven by a passion for medical imaging, Michael enrolled in the MRI Technology program at AIMS Education. Being one of the final two applicants accepted into the program made the opportunity especially meaningful. Throughout the program, he studied anatomy, physics, and MRI principles, developing the foundational knowledge needed to pursue a career in magnetic resonance imaging.

His clinical training at St. Joseph's University Medical Center was a particularly valuable part of his education. Working alongside experienced MRI technologists exposed him to different scanning techniques and approaches to patient care, allowing him to apply his classroom knowledge in a real-world clinical environment. Through hands-on experience, Michael continued refining his technical abilities, strengthening his patient communication skills, and developing his own approach to MRI scanning.

His dedication and performance during clinical training made a lasting impression on the healthcare team at St. Joseph's. In recognition of his potential and commitment, he was offered a position before graduating from AIMS, marking an important milestone in his professional journey.

Success After Graduation

Following graduation, Michael began working as an MRI Technologist at St. Joseph's Health in Wayne, NJ, where he continues to work alongside many of the healthcare professionals who contributed to his clinical education. The transition from student to practicing technologist allowed him to build on his previous healthcare experience while applying the specialized knowledge and skills he developed at AIMS.

In his current role, each day brings new opportunities to learn, strengthen his technical expertise, and provide compassionate care to patients undergoing MRI examinations. He has also earned certifications in CPR and IV cannulation, further expanding his skills and supporting his continued professional development.

Looking ahead, his goal is to become an exceptional MRI technologist, continue advancing his knowledge of medical imaging, and eventually mentor students entering the profession. His journey reflects the value of hands-on experience, lifelong learning, and the dedication required to grow in healthcare. From his early days supporting patients at JFK University Medical Center to building a career in MRI technology at St. Joseph's Health, his story demonstrates how a longstanding passion for patient care can develop into a fulfilling and rewarding professional path.
