Diane Cassidy

Background and Experience at AIMS

Diane Cassidy’s path to healthcare was unconventional. After raising four children, including triplets, and overcoming personal health challenges, she decided to update her skills and pursue a career in medical administration. She enrolled in the Medical Billing and Coding program at AIMS Education College of Health Sciences, where the structured curriculum and hands-on training gave her the practical knowledge and technical skills she needed to succeed. Diane recalls, “The training I received from AIMS was a game-changer for my career. The support from instructors and staff throughout the internship journey was invaluable.” Her internship provided real-world experience that built her confidence and prepared her to transition smoothly into the healthcare workforce.

Success after Graduation

During her 80-hour internship, Diane’s performance stood out so much that she was offered a position even before completing the program. Shortly after finishing her classes, she earned her Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) certifications from NHA. Diane now works part-time at Choice Dermatology and continues to grow her skills, with plans to pursue the AAPCcertification for Medical Coding. “From admissions to HR to the instructors, everyone at AIMS was wonderful,” she says. “The program set me up for success and gave me the confidence to start a fulfilling career in healthcare.”
