AIMS Education Partners with the Community Food Bank of NJ
AIMS Education is proud to be joining The Community Food Bank of New Jersey in the fight to end hunger and poverty and will be holding our first annual food drive throughout the month of May. From Tuesday, May 1st through Thursday May 31st, there will be donation boxes located throughout our three buildings in Piscataway and Edison. Look for the posters in all three locations as they will let you know how you can help.
To make a donation, please bring non-perishable foods to the donation boxes. The most-needed items include canned protein, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, beans, and rice. You can also help by spreading awareness about hunger and encourage others to donate through your social media channels.
About Community Food Bank of New Jersey:
Did you know that almost one million New Jersey residents struggle with hunger every day! They don’t know where their next healthy meal will come from or if they will have something to eat at all.
The Community Food Bank of New Jersey, or The CFBNJ, is the largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization in New Jersey. The CFBNJ helps to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need as well as seeking long-term solutions. Partnered together with volunteers, donors and their many contributors, The CFBNJ works with the local businesses and surrounding communities to fill the emptiness caused by hunger.
The CFBNJ has distributed more than 50 million pounds of food last year to its more than 1,000 community partners including pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, mobile pantries, and child and senior feeding programs. More than 4.7 million times a year, someone in need is fed by The CFBNJ’s network of partners.
