Importance of Writing an Effective Resume
The importance of an effective resume is to show your educational background, career objectives, work history, clinical experience, and skills that will allow you to stand out in a crowded field of applicants. Resumes are one of the first lines of communication you have with employers, so take full advantage of this first contact. Read the resume as an employer would, and tailor it toward the job you are applying for. It's hard to make it to the interview stage without a strong resume. Be concise, show your qualifications, and always be honest.

The career services department at AIMS is available to all students and graduates for one-on-one resume building sessions. During these sessions, our team will teach you the basic fundamentals of writing an effective resume. You'll learn how to organize and format your resume, and how to highlight your most impressive attributes. We'll provide ready-made resume templates and help you build out your resume so you can start applying for jobs.
