Nana Agyemang graduated from Saint Peter’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2017. She knew she wanted to go into healthcare, but she wasn’t sure which direction to go in. She decided to enroll in the Pharmacy Technician program at AIMS primarily because she was planning to go to pharmacy school in the future. She felt this would be a good way to test the waters and see if pharmacology was a good fit for her.
The program turned out to be an amazing experience. She felt the instructor did an excellent job teaching and preparing her class. Nana also found the internship to be very rewarding. She was able to gain practical experience in a real pharmacy setting, and learn what kind of environment she would thrive in.
Success after Graduation
In August 2019, Nana graduated from the Pharmacy Technician program. Soon after, she passed the certification exam offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). She is now a certified pharmacy technician and works at Overlook Medical Center. She is still planning to enroll in pharmacy school next year. The future looks bright for this pharmacy tech.
