Background and Experience at AIMS

I have always enjoyed helping others in need. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare, but I was not sure which path I wanted to go down. I decided to become a medical assistant as my first step into the healthcare field.

While working as a medical assistant, I would occasionally read the ultrasound reports for the doctors. That sparked my interest in ultrasound, and my search for a school had begun. It was important to me to find a school that had an accredited sonography program, and would support me throughout my time there. When I visited AIMS, I knew I had found the school that was the perfect fit for me.

My experience at AIMS was great! Everyone is there for you every step of the way. From my first day in class, to my last day in clinicals, help was always just one email or phone call away.

Success after Graduation

Towards the end of my clinical internship I passed the ARDMS registry exams and became a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). I was even offered a full time position before my clinicals were over! I now work at Lenox Hill Radiology as a diagnostic medical sonographer. Thank you AIMS for all of your support and training.
