Background and Experience at AIMS
Growing up I struggled to battle Epilepsy from a young age. With persistence and the right medication, I was able to win that battle and live a more normal life. After studying in college, the realization dawned on me that I wanted to help other people who suffered from the same issues. After struggling to find the right program and school, I found AIMS and applied immediately. AIMS gave me the tools to do that and put me right where I needed to be to make that a reality.
One of the biggest positives I can say about AIMS is their placement of students right into internships. This helped enormously as there was no downtime in between school and working. I was so appreciative to be able to continue to learn in a hands-on environment and continue to develop my skills. I was able to build on everything I was taught in school, and every class I had taken helped me in one way or another.
Success after Graduation
Since graduating from AIMS, I've earned my R. EEG T. credential from ABRET, and I began working as an EEG tech at the Neurology Center for Epilepsy. Every day I am surrounded by knowledgeable and helpful coworkers who continue to help me learn. Now that I'm a certified EEG tech, I look to continue my new career being where I want to be and doing exactly what I want to do.
